FAQs

How is my LinkedIn data being used?

We use Proxycurl to access your LinkedIn name, title, and additional information such as your bio from the public LinkedIn page you provide. A generative AI model uses this information to create the roast. Your LinkedIn name, title, and the generated roast are stored in Airtable to display on the wall of roasts. We do not save your LinkedIn URL.

How is my picture being used?

If you choose to upload a picture for roasting, we save the image using Uploadcare, hosted in the EU. The generative AI analyzes the picture to generate the roast. The image URL is also saved in Airtable for display on the wall of roasts. However, your picture is never matched with your name, even if you've used both LinkedIn and photo roasts.

What AI models are you using?

We use OpenAI's ChatGPT 4o model for generating both types of roasts. As a multimodal model, it can analyze uploaded images to create roasts. We use the ChatGPT API through our ChatGPT Enterprise license, and our settings prevent OpenAI from using the data for further model training. All data resides in Europe under our ChatGPT Enterprise agreement.

What's the purpose of all this?

To have fun and show that AI can create enjoyable, humorous experiences.
